Start with the artwork you already have
Send the original logo file if it is available, alongside a simple preview image so the intended appearance is clear. If you only have a photograph or a screenshot, say so. Do not assume that a small image contains enough detail for every production method. Ask the supplier what artwork preparation is needed and whether that work is included in the quote.
Write down dimensions and quantities
Provide the overall width and height you have in mind, using a consistent unit. State whether these measurements describe the sign itself or the wall space available. Include the number of signs and note any differences between them. If measurements are approximate, label them as estimates so they are not accidentally treated as approved production dimensions.
Show where the sign will go
Include a straight-on photo and a wider view of the location. Tell the supplier whether the sign is indoors, sheltered or outdoors, and explain the mounting surface if you know it. If the project is vehicle branding, include the vehicle make, model, year and clear images of each relevant side. These details help define the next questions.
Describe the finish and delivery scope
Explain the lighting effect, colour or material appearance you want, and attach a small number of references. Provide the destination city and country. Ask for a quote that separates the sign supply from delivery and any installation work. If you have a target date, share it before agreeing to production, then confirm the proposed schedule in writing.
Use one final checklist
Before sending the enquiry, check: artwork, exact wording, size, quantity, location photos, lighting preference, destination and target date.
